Manchester gigs added to Kylie's tour
21/08/2006
Kylie Minogue has added two Manchester gigs to her comeback tour, it has emerged.
The two concerts in Manchester will form the finale of Kylie's Showgirl Homecoming tour and will take place next year on January 12th and 13th.
The tour begins in Australia in November and comes to the UK early next year. The additional shows in Manchester are the only UK dates outside of London.
"Manchester always welcomes me and it will be great to end the tour there," said Kylie.
The singer was diagnosed with breast cancer in May last year and has completed a course of chemotherapy.
Commenting on the tour, she recently told Sky One: "I'm as prepared as I can be, but I'm not sure that I'll be able to do everything that I did before."
According to the BBC, the initial tour dates at London's Wembley Arena sold out in six minutes.
