Manchester's next big thing
15/08/2006
A brand new music festival will be taking place in Manchester's Platt Fields Park in September featuring some of the best local bands and new talent on the music scene.
Cohesion Live will take place on September 23rd with two main stages, which will feature both new and well-known names such as Badly Drawn Boy, Elbow and Graham Coxon, along side The Longcut, Sunshine Underground and The KBC.
The festival will also feature a selection of smaller, more intimate performance spaces, as well as a visual arts area and a festival market.
Not only is Cohesion Live Manchester's biggest new outdoor festival, but it is also a not-for-profit fundraising event, which has been organised by the local charity, Manchester Aid to Kosovo (MaK), to raise money for their Manchester Peace Park Project in Kosovo.
Tickets cost £19.50 and are available either from the festival website or Piccadilly Box Offices, with between £2.50 and £4.00 of the ticket price, depending on the number sold, being donated to MaK.
