Men arrested after Horwich police shooting
18/12/2006
A number of arrests have been made following a violent armed robbery in Horwich, Bolton last month.
Three men have been arrested in dawn raids and are being held on suspicion of attempted murder and conspiracy to commit robbery.
The houses involved in the raid were in the Westleigh area of Leigh, the BBC has reported.
In November, armed bank robbers shot a male police officer in the face as they made their getaway from Barclays Bank in Horwich.
The officer suffered an eye injury and cuts to his arms and face, while a colleague was treated for shock. Both officers have since been discharged from hospital.
Police are calling on people to come forward if they have any information that might help detectives in the ongoing investigation.
