Only loans for Baggies in January
09/11/2005
West Brom manager Bryan Robson has admitted that there is no cash for him to spend in the January transfer window but he hopes to bring in a couple of loan signings.
The Midlands club look set for another relegation battle as they currently sit 18th in the Premiership and have only won two league games this season.
With this in mind, Robson wants to bring new players but admits that these will have to be loan deals.
"We have identified the positions we want to strengthen and have players in mind we want to bring in," he said.
"But I can't see us going out and buying players because I don't think the funds are there."
Robson was forced into a similar position last season when the Baggies were struggling but the arrival of Kieran Richardson on loan from Manchester United last January proved a major factor in helping them stay up.
However, if West Brom are to stay again up this term, Robson believes they must stop making silly mistakes and start winning games in which they dominate.
"That has happened far too many times this season and that is why we are in the position we are in," he added.
