Foos confirm Manchester gig
21/02/2006
US rockers the Foo Fighters have confirmed they will line up to play at the Old Trafford cricket ground in June this summer.
The Foos will play the Manchester venue just 24 hours after performing at a big Hyde Park music event in London.
Taking place on Sunday June 20th, music fans will have the chance to see Dave Grohl and his band play all the crowd favourites.
As one of the biggest selling acts around the globe, signing the Foos for the Manchester gig represents a massive coup for the show's organisers.
They will headline the two-day festival and play alongside the likes of The Strokes and Richard Ashcroft, formally of The Verve fame.
The latest album by the Foo Fighters, Your Honour, has won plaudits from both critics and fans alike.
Tickets are expected to go on sale this weekend starting at around £30.
