Manchester comedian begins northern tour
09/05/2006
Manchester comedian Justin Moorhouse begins a tour of the north tomorrow that will see him perform in a number of the city's venues.
Moorhouse, who starred in Channel Four's comedy Phoenix Nights, will be appearing in Greater Manchester towns Stockport and Bury, as well as at the Lowry Theatre in Salford Quays.
In addition, he will be stopping at Wrexham, Leeds and Tameside as part of the tour he has named the Difficult Second Tour.
The comic started his stand-up career at the age of 29 but he also presents a show on Manchester's Key 103 radio station, which is based in Castlefield.
In an interview with the BBC, Moorhouse comments on the tour's venues: "Wrexham's a bit of a strange one, I've never played there," he said.
"I'm looking forward to that and I'm looking forward to the Lowry because I played there three nights on the last tour and it was good fun. I'm looking forward to Bury because it's always cracking there too," he added.
As well as stand-up, Moorhouse regularly comperes at the Comedy Store in both London and Manchester.
